Chairman of Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly meets with Iranian deputy minister of finance and economy
Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov has met with Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Head of the Customs Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran Faroud Asghari.
Iranian Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Head of the Customs Administration Faroud Asghari hailed the development of Nakhchivan, saying this is his first visit to the Autonomous Republic.
Faroud Asghari noted that the meeting held between the customs officials of Iran and Azerbaijan featured discussions on the issues related to increasing the work hours of customs checkpoints, simplifying and accelerating the transit of goods, as well as electronic exchange of information. He underlined the importance of customs cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in terms of the development of economic and trade relations, saying that efforts will be increased in this area.
Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov pointed to the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iran. He hailed the importance of the meeting of customs officials in terms of the development of relations between the two countries and between the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The chairman of the Supreme Assembly emphasized the bilateral relations between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and neighboring provinces of Iran, underlining the importance of cooperation in the field of customs.
Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee Safar Mehdiyev and Consul General of Iran to Nakhchivan Mansur Ayrom also attended the meeting.
